Nesmith’s sophomore season was setting up to be one for the ages. The 6’6” forward was averaging 23 ppg through 14 games and shooting an absurd 52.2 percent from three on 8.2 attempts per game. And then it ended with a stress fracture.
Nesmith is widely projected to be a first-round pick or early second at the latest, so the decision (at least in the wisdom of 2020) seems academic. We wish him the best in his professional career.
