I suppose this was expected, but Vanderbilt women’s basketball coach Stephanie White will return for a fifth season, per the Tennessean.
White has a 42-79 record in four years at Vanderbilt, with a pair of 14-16 season bookending a pair of seven-win seasons. It’s hardly inspiring, but then again, if you gave her a fourth year after the 7-23 record in 2018-19, it was sort of hard to justify a firing after she doubled her win total.
In any case, just passing along the news. Of course, it’s extremely telling that a Google search for Stephanie White turns up last year’s Tennessean article announcing her return for another year.
