Yep. Do you see that “1” in Vanderbilt’s record? The Vanderbilt Commodores are coming off their first SEC win since 2018, and they’ll look to extend the streak (the good kind of streak) to two games as they head to beautiful Starkville, Mississippi, to take on the Mississippi State Bulldogs.

This will be an uphill battle: Vanderbilt is a 16-point underdog and Mississippi State had won five of six prior to a loss at Rupp Arena on Tuesday night. And unlike baseball, we don’t have an infinite number of scholarships to Mississippi State’s 11.7. On the other hand, we no longer have to answer the question of “when will the losing end?” The losing ended on Wednesday night.
