Every year, it seems, there’s a prospect who’s completely off everyone’s radar that commits to Vanderbilt shortly before signing day. That’s Will Sheppard, who committed to Vanderbilt in December but waited until today to sign.

Sheppard didn’t have any other Power 5 offers (unless we’re counting Tulane as an SEC school, which we are), doesn’t have a rating on any of the major recruiting services, and frankly, we don’t have a lot of information about him. Per this article, he had 30 catches for 601 yards and five touchdowns as a junior at Mandeville.
And then I saw his highlight film on Hudl. First off, through five games this season, he had 31 catches, 710 yards, and 14 touchdowns. (That’s impressive.) And, well, just look.
All right, fine, I am on board with this. Anchor Down, Will.
