NCAA Football: East Tennessee State at Vanderbilt Christopher Hanewinckel-USA TODAY Sports

Good morning.

Vanderbilt football opened spring practice yesterday and ... oh, what’s that? Is that the quarterback hype train I hear leaving the station?

Ohhhhh yeah, that’s the stuff. Here’s the full practice report, and we have a full six months before the first game of the 2020 season, so that’s six months to get the Ken Seals hype train rolling. (Of course, Mike Wright will join the team in the fall, and, well... he’s fast.) And here are Derek Mason’s post-practice comments:

And in other news, Tony Ball is the new wide receivers coach, replacing Aaron Moorehead.

Vanderbilt baseball beat Evansville 6-0 on Tuesday, their sixth consecutive win, though Jack Leiter finally gave up a hit. They’ll play again today against St. Louis at 4:30 PM CT on the SEC Network+.

Lacrosse came up just short in a 15-13 loss at Louisville on Tuesday.

Basketball hosts Missouri (whom we continue to not recognize) tonight at 8:00 PM CT on ESPNU.

Chris Lee podcasted with Mitch LIght.
