Since opening the 2020 season by losing two of three in Scottsdale, Vanderbilt has reeled off four wins in a row back at Hawkins Field, and they’ll look to make it five straight today as they conclude the three-game series against Illinois-Chicago.
Jake Eder will get the ball for his second start of the season. Eder had a rough outing last Sunday against Cal Poly in a Commodore loss, and we have to think he’s pitching to keep his spot as the Sunday starter after Jack Leiter and Ethan Smith put in dominant performance in midweek starts against South Alabama.
