There were 54 total outs. Just saying. (Holy shit!)

In the past two days, three Vanderbilt freshmen RHPs—Jack “Leits Out” Leiter, Thomas “The Mayor” Schultz, and Michael “Doolin Banjo” Doolin—made their Commodore debuts. All three K’d the side in their first innings.

I know.

Beyond that, here are their final lines on their first appearances:

#22 Fr. RHP Jack “Leits Out” Leiter (W):

5 IP 0 H 0 R 1 BB 12 K in 80 Pitches (52 strikes).

#66 Fr. RHP Thomas “The Mayor” Schultz (S):

4 IP 2 H 0 R 0 BB 7 K in 55 Pitches (39 strikes)

#43 Fr. RHP Michael “Doolin Banjo” Doolin (S):

4 IP 1 H 0 R 1 BB 7 K in 62 Pitches (39 strikes).

Our bats may be hot garbage, but this freshman class of RHPs may well be even better than the class of Carson Fulmer and Walker Buehler. I’m not even including fellow stud Fr. RHP Sam “Hliboki Bartokomous” Hliboki, who made his debut against UConn this weekend, and did the following:

#40 Fr. RHP Sam “Hliboki Bartokomous” Hliboki (S):

3 IP 1 H 0 R 0 BB 3 K

Think about that.
