2020 Staff Pick’em Week 13

Only .500 this week.

Tom picked against this guy last week. Bad decision.
Matt Cashore-USA TODAY Sports

Last week was a disappointment. Granted, we kept a streak of 6 weeks at or above .500 going, but the 3-week streak of being above 60% with our picks died. The good news is that the worst performances individually were Tom and VU ‘04 at 3-5. Stan and I were even on the week. Unfortunately, no one did spectacularly well though as the best records were handed in by CDA and Import at 5-3. Import is really putting together a great season, and I hope he is making some money off his surprisingly good picks. Stan and Tom have an exciting battle at the bottom with Stan’s 40.7% success rate barely edging Tom’s 40.43%. Overall, the staff is 266-298 which is 47.84%.

I am going to skip the rest of the nonsense since games are already in progress. Look, it has been a weird, exhausting week. Hopefully, most, if not all, of the craziness is over except for hiring a new coach that will be overwhelmingly positive, even if it will not be everyone’s favorite.

The Rules

  1. Normally, the picks are for all SEC games with one dealer’s choice where I get to choose another game to make us pick. This year, it is going to be all SEC games, one dealer’s choice, and the Campbell Fighting Camels game! Why? Because I said so.
  2. The picks will be made AGAINST THE SPREAD. Too many games are easy to pick heads up. Also, this will serve as a PSA for why you should not get into sports gambling with more states making it legal.
  3. The lines will be taken from Oddshark’s consensus spread some time Monday, so they may not match what is listed at the time this article is published.
