Well, it’s official: Vanderbilt will play Tennessee on December 12, per a release from the SEC office.

The Commodores were originally scheduled to play the Volunteers on November 28, but Vanderbilt was told that it would play Missouri instead. That left the Tennessee game to be rescheduled, and it will now be played a week from tomorrow. Also rescheduled: the Georgia game, originally scheduled for tomorrow, will now be played on the 19th. The remaining makeup games for SEC teams have also been scheduled for the 12th and the 19th.

And speaking of that, shut up, Georgia Athletic Director Greg McGarity.

“The intent and the commitment by every institution was to play the game unless COVID prevented you from playing the game,” McGarity said. “I’m not questioning anyone’s integrity, if young people want to play, they will make the sacrifices to do so, and unfortunately some may have not followed protocol.
