I am so happy for Tom! He went 4-3! Everyone was within 1 game of .500 for the week or better. CDA and VU ‘04 led the way at 5-2. The rest of us were at 3-4. The final staff tally for the week was 23-19. That weekly total brings us to 149-205 for the season.
No games resulted in 5 or 6 losers. South Carolina, Kentucky, and Minnesota were the only teams to let down a majority of us with 4 losers. Auburn-Ole Miss and Georgia Tech-Boston College were evenly split. We all saw Alabama shellacking THEM coming. Only Stan missed out on the Green Wave keeping it closer to UCF than 20.
This week there is a concerning amount of agreement. It should be noted that Stan did not make picks due to real-life circumstances. Alabama, Florida, and Notre Dame have all been chosen to unanimously beat Mississippi State, Missouri, and Georgia Tech along with the points with all being double digit favorites. Kentucky, LSU, and Penn State each only have one supporter against Georgia, Auburn, and Ohio State. The LSU-Auburn pick is rather ironic. Vanderbilt did manage to get 3 picks as did Arkansas and Temple. We shall see if any of us are getting better at figuring out this wacky season.
The Rules
- Normally, the picks are for all SEC games with one dealer’s choice where I get to choose another game to make us pick. This year, it is going to be all SEC games, one dealer’s choice, and the Campbell Fighting Camels game! Why? Because I said so.
- The picks will be made AGAINST THE SPREAD. Too many games are easy to pick heads up. Also, this will serve as a PSA for why you should not get into sports gambling with more states making it legal.
- The lines will be taken from Oddshark’s consensus spread some time Monday, so they may not match what is listed at the time this article is published.
