With Aaron Nesmith out of the lineup, Vanderbilt shot an abysmal 30 percent from the floor, including a truly hideous 5-of-30 from three-point range, and lost to Texas A&M, 69-50.
Full disclosure: I did not watch this game. However, a quick eyeball of the box score tells me that former manager Jon Jossell played 10 minutes in this game and Vanderbilt’s leading scorers were Ejike Obinna and Maxwell Evans with 12 each.
Note that I do not blame the current coach for the state of the program and you shouldn’t either. This is apparently what the previous coach intended for the team to look like after Darius Garland and Simi Shittu went to the NBA after a year.
So, from here on out, every post about the basketball team will have the necessary musical accompaniment.
