More Volsenfreude.

NCAA Football: Georgia State at Tennessee Randy Sartin-USA TODAY Sports

Good morning.

The SEC announced the schedule for women’s basketball conference games on Wednesday. Vanderbilt will play eight of its sixteen games against teams that made the NCAA Tournament last season. I wish I had more insight than this, but I don’t.

The Hustler has three matchups to watch in Vanderbilt’s Week 2 game against Purdue. They also had their SEC Power Rankings. Tennessee is 14th in the power rankings, and I really hope the Hustler staff mockingly played Rocky Top at Vol fans while they wrote it.

Off the West End

WR Jordan Murphy and DB Terrell Bailey have both left Tennessee’s program. The “This is fine” dog, after serving as the unofficial mascot of Vanderbilt’s 2018-19 basketball season, has moved to Knoxville for the 2019 football season.

“Upset alerts” for Week 2.

Dennis Dodd proposes neutral referees for nonconference games. Actually, why not go a step farther and have officiating regulated at the NCAA level instead of at the conference level?
