Good morning.
After a weekend in California, the Vanderbilt soccer team moved its record to 4-0 on the season, beating Pepperdine 1-0 on Sunday afternoon. The Commodores have yet to surrender a goal this season; they’ll be back in action as they host Colgate on Friday night.
Men’s golf finished in eighth place at the Carmel Cup at Pebble Beach over the weekend. Keep in mind, the team was without senior John Augenstein, who is currently away from the team.
Derek Mason’s second press conference of the season will be today at 12:15 PM CT; we will, of course, have a recap as well as a reaction to the release of this week’s depth chart. The Indiana-based Journal & Courier has a quick preview of Saturday’s game at Purdue.
At the Hustler, Betsy Goodfriend writes that Deuce Wallace should have gotten more snaps against Georgia, and Max Schneider writes about the search for an offense.
I’m half asleep while I’m writing this, so this morning’s Anchor Drop is abbreviated.
