Vanderbilt soccer still hasn’t given up a goal this season.

Good morning.

We are now 5 days away from Vanderbilt football’s season opener against the Georgia Bulldogs. I feel pretty safe in assuming that if you’re reading this, you already know who Ke’Shawn Vaughn is — the star running back for the Commodores. The other #5 for Vanderbilt is new here: defensive back DC Williams (also known as Dontye Carriere-Williams.) Williams is a junior who transferred from Independence Community College (yeah, that Independence Community College) after being a part-time starter as a freshman at Wisconsin.

Vanderbilt soccer is up to 2-0 on the season after last night’s 4-0 win over Evansville, with Haley Hopkins scoring twice.

Former Vanderbilt golfer Marina Alex will be part of Team USA at next month’s Solheim Cup in Scotland.

Off the West End

Remember, there was a reason they called it the Fulmer Cup.

From The Athletic ($): Flawed but fun, Florida-Miami wasn’t the game we wanted. But it was a game we needed.
