Good morning.
Vanderbilt’s season opener against Georgia is now 56 days away — just eight weeks! There are two players wearing #56 on the team. One is offensive lineman Saige Young; the 6’4”, 305-pound senior from Versailles, Kentucky, has played in eighteen games in his two years in the program. The other #56 is defensive lineman Brandon Maddox. The 6’3”, 285-pound junior from North Augusta, South Carolina, is in his first year in the program after transferring from Pima Community College.
It appears Vanderbilt baseball has lost another signee: Blaine McIntosh, from nearby Sycamore High School, signed with the New York Mets, who drafted him in the 13th round of last month’s MLB Draft.
Signed and sealed with a hug from mom!

Off the West End
Kawhi Leonard has signed with the Clippers, and the Clippers also traded for Paul George overnight. Wow. The NBA is suddenly getting very interesting starting next season.
Brian Straus on the US-Mexico Gold Cup Final.
