Vanderbilt Baseball beat Louisville by a 6-2 score on Tuesday night, notching its 12th win in a row and improving to 39-9 on the season. I think it’s safe to say Vanderbilt will be hosting a regional in a few weeks, and probably a super regional as well.
Women’s golf finished Tuesday in third place at the Auburn Regional. The Commodores just need to finish in the top six to make the NCAA Championship. The final round is today.
Yesterday, Vanderbilt picked up a commitment from Notre Dame transfer D.J. Harvey. Also, Huntsville native and former Texas A&M signee Kobe Brown has the Commodores in his top four.
Off the West End
Two blowouts last night in the NBA: the Raptors went up 3-2 on BEN SIMMONS (!) and the 76ers, and the Nuggets went up 3-2 on the Blazers. And in the NHL, the St. Louis Blues advanced to the Western Conference Finals.
Mike Fiers threw his second career no-hitter. For the record, I was in attendance at the first.
