The first Vanderbilt player is off the board in the 2019 NFL Draft.

There were rumors going into the draft that Joejuan Williams, the Vanderbilt CB whom no one wanted to throw to, might sneak into the first round. That didn’t happen, but Williams didn’t last long on the draft’s second day, going to the New England Patriots with the 46th pick.

Now, he gets to be reunited with former Vanderbilt DL Adam Butler, who was part of the Super Bowl winning team in January.
