Vanderbilt Baseball Mail Bag #8: Call For Submissions

Send VANDERBILT and/or SEC BASEBALL questions to andrewvu04@gmail.com.

Letters... we get letters... we get sacks and sacks of letters...

Tonight, we welcome the Indiana State Fightin’ Larry Bird’s Ridiculous Moustaches to The Hawk for a mid-week game. Following that, the boys head down to Ramajama for three games with The Gumps.

Though last week wasn’t perfect, and Sunday’s 14-12 bullpen special left a rotten taste in our mouths, I’ll always take a 3-1 week that features a series win over a top 10 team (in this case, Arky).

...and the polls reacted accordingly:

This week was a Dinger-fest, with Chinfante going yard twice in one game, JJ getting #16, Scott turning the Hogs into Salami, and Clarke shooting one through the swirling wind. That said, our Friday and Saturday starters powered the engine, with Safari Planet going toe to toe with Isaiah “Soup” Campbell in a 3-2 duel, and Kumar taking us to White Castle.

Send your questions to andrewvu04@gmail.com some time today, and I’ll answer them in a post on this week. You may also post your questions here in the comments. Just post them in the body of the comment, with the subject line: “Question for the mail bag.”

*Note: Questions about other SEC baseball teams are welcome, too. I just won’t know as much about them, and will likely respond with juvenile, biased trash talk.

I will do this weekly as long as the questions keep coming in. If they dry up, no post. I’m not mad, just disappointed.
