Logan Kyle, a 6’3”, 198-pound wide receiver from Tomball Memorial High School in Texas, announced his commitment to Vanderbilt via Twitter on Friday. The 247 Sports composite ranks him as the #164 wide receiver prospect in the class and the #145 prospect in Texas. He also held offers from Boston College, Georgia Tech, Illinois, Iowa State, Kansas, Rutgers, Syracuse, and Utah.
Kyle ran a 4.53 40-yard dash and a 4.21 shuttle run at the Opening earlier this year, and also had a 32.5-inch vertical leap. As a junior, he was named first team All-District, catching 43 passes for 1031 yards and 12 touchdowns. On film, Kyle shows good hands and the ability to get separation, at least at the high school level, though his top-end speed doesn’t look great:
Anchor Down.
