Good morning.
It is that time of year, the time when Nashville radio blowhards tell us what sports we should and should not care about...
None of that says they aren’t good or I don’t want them to win. Vandy should not have bowling as the competition is a bunch of schools that have nothing in common with Vandy. Compete in SEC sports.

Shut up, Paul. The NCAA Women’s Bowling Championships begin today, and Vanderbilt is the #1 seed in the eight-team event. As a reminder, Vanderbilt has won three national championships since the last time Tennessee won a national championship in anything — a 2009 national title in women’s indoor track and field — and no, we don’t care that those national titles were in baseball, women’s tennis, and women’s bowling. We will celebrate national titles, and yes, consider this your live thread for the first day of hot bowling action, which you may live stream on NCAA.com. Vanderbilt will open the tournament against Sacred Heart at 8:00 AM CT.
And also...
Head coach John Williamson was named Coach of the Year after leading the team to a best 74% winning percentage. #anchordown #DOmorebemoRE pic.twitter.com/Fiu2Ic9zzp

And speaking of coaches, Shan Foster and Will Perdue like what they hear from Jerry Stackhouse. The Hustler podcasts about it.
Vanderbilt’s JJ Bleday and Austin Martin are on the midseason Golden Spikes watch list.
According to FBSchedules.com, Vanderbilt will host Louisiana Tech in 2020 for an $800,000 guarantee. That seems... bold.
