Good morning.
Yes, it is officially March, the month of the NCAA Tournament. No, neither Vanderbilt’s men’s or women’s basketball teams will be playing in the tournament, though the women’s team did beat Tennessee in Knoxville last night. That has never happened before, though something that has happened before is Tennessee fans wanting the coach fired for it.
If this loss to an absolutely horrible Vandy team doesn’t get Holly Warlick fired, I’m not sure what she could do short of an off court issue to get fired. The time has come.

On to the weekend. The baseball team hosts Dayton in the first of a three-game set today at 4:30 at the Hawk. Like most of the nonconference schedule, this game’s on the SEC Network+.
Men’s and women’s tennis both open SEC play today. The men are at Mississippi State today, while the women host Missouri. (Insert Big 12 joke here.)
Women’s bowling is competing in the Hawk Flight Invite at 9:55 AM CT today in Egg Harbor, NJ; as usual, you can watch this on YouTube.
Off the West End
Bryce Harper signed with the Phillies for $330 million over 13 years. It sounds like a long time, but Bobby Bonilla will be getting paid by the Mets for four more years after that.
Jason Witten is returning to the Dallas Cowboys, and leaving the broadcast booth, which makes a lot of people happy.
Cal beat Washington, which means Vanderbilt is now the only power conference team that’s winless in conference play. We did it! But we also have more Pac-12 wins than Cal!
