What does this mean? Beats us.

In sort-of-related-to-athletics news, Vanderbilt University has a new Chancellor.

The university announced on Wednesday morning that University of Chicago Provost Daniel Diermeier will be the university’s new Chancellor, effective July 1, 2020. Interim Chancellor Susan Wente will continue until then. Diermeier replaces Nicholas Zeppos, who announced in August that he would be stepping down.

What does this mean for Vanderbilt athletics? Don’t ask me because I don’t know the answer to that question.
