Good morning.
Vanderbilt basketball, 5-2 on the young season, returns to action tonight as the Buffalo Bulls visit Memorial Gym tonight at 7:00 PM CT. Buffalo went 32-4 last season but appears to have taken a significant step back this year; they’re 5-2 with losses to Dartmouth and UConn. Tonight’s game can be seen on the SEC Network+.
Vanderbilt soccer’s Haley Hopkins was selected to the first-team All-Southeast Region team by the United Soccer Coaches. Three other Commodores were selected to the second and third teams.
More signings! Vanderbilt swimming signed five new swimmers, and Vanderbilt lacrosse signed nine players.
And finally, in the stupidest story of the week, Vanderbilt baseball coach Tim Corbin explained why Vanderbilt skipped a White House visit for the college national champions: because it conflicted with the players’ holiday travel plans. (In all seriousness, this explanation will probably just piss off both sides.)
