On Tuesday, this came across the Twitterverse:

Which is an odd way to announce that you’ve flipped your commitment, because up until that point Ethan Barr was listed as a Tulane commit.

Anyway, at least on film, Barr looks like a late bloomer. His 247 page says he runs a 4.96 40, which is Kyle Shurmur speed and isn’t really backed up on his film. (His Hudl page says 4.6, which sounds like it’s more in line with reality.) He’s got size and is a versatile defender at the linebacker position. It’s hard to tell from high school film, but it looks good.

I definitely don’t hate this signing. Anchor Down, Ethan.
