On Wednesday, Vanderbilt signed Jason Brooks, one of four prospects from Texas to sign early with the Commodores.

A 6’4”, 290-pound prospect from Dobie High School in Houston, Brooks figures to play on the interior of the offensive line at Vanderbilt — both Rivals and 247 Sports project him to play guard. Brooks was a first-team All-District selection as a senior.

Oh, and he’s apparently a good student, according to this feature from Fox 26 Houston.
