One of Vanderbilt’s most recent additions to its 2020 signing class might also be one of its best. He is, according to 247 Sports’s composite, the highest rated member of the class.

De’Rickey Wright, a 6’4”, 220-pound athlete from Gadsden, Alabama, signed with Vanderbilt on Wednesday after flipping from Ole Miss; earlier, he was committed to his homestate Crimson Tide. That offer list is impressive, but Derek Mason won the recruiting battle — perhaps in part because Ole Miss decided to fire Matt Luke and Wright didn’t want aboard the Lane Train.

Anchor Down, De’Rickey.
