Vanderbilt inked, perhaps, its quarterback of the future on Wednesday. Ken Seals, quarterback for the Weatherford Kangaroos (yep, that’s their mascot) of Weatherford, Texas, signed his Letter of Intent to play for the Commodores. Seals intends to enroll early and participate in spring practice.

In 11 games as a senior, Seals completed 63.6 percent of his passes and threw for 3060 yards, with 33 touchdowns and 7 interceptions. He also has good mobility, rushing for 494 yards and 7 touchdowns on 85 carries. Why Vanderbilt? The money quote from the Weatherford Democrat after he committed in April:

“After going over all the pros and cons with my family as far as playing in the SEC, getting the education I’m gonna get, the opportunity to play early and play some big-time football, at the end of the day, it was almost like, ‘What are we waiting on?’”

Right, the blogger for Anchor of Gold agrees with this logic.

Anchor Down, Ken.
