Anchor Drop, November 26, 2019: Two Wins for Basketball

One easy, one not so much.

NCAA Womens Basketball: Tennessee at Vanderbilt Jim Brown-USA TODAY Sports

Good morning.

Vanderbilt played two basketball games last night, and won both of them — one easy, the other not so much. Women’s basketball scored 100 points for the first time since 2011 and beat Tennessee State 106-55.

Things weren’t so easy for the men’s team, which couldn’t exactly put away Southeastern Louisiana in a 78-70 win last night. But at least there was this after the game:

Also yesterday, Scotty Pippen Jr. was named the SEC Freshman of the Week.

Derek Mason has his final weekly press conference of the season today at 12:15. (I’m probably again not covering this one. Wake me up when it’s not complete coachspeak.)
