Also, bowling takes fifth at the Hawk Classic.

Good morning.

Both Vanderbilt basketball teams are playing in Nashville tonight — but it’s not a doubleheader. The men’s team hosts Southeastern Louisiana at 7:00 PM CT at Memorial Gym, in a game that can be streamed on the SEC Network+. Meanwhile, the women are across town at the Gentry Center on Tennessee State’s campus, where they’ll play the Tigers at 6:00 PM CT; that game is available on ESPN+.

Vanderbilt bowling wrapped up its fall schedule with a fifth-place finish at the Eastern Shore Hawk Classic, losing matches to Sacred Heart and Duquesne on Sunday before coming back to beat the hosts. Pinman will not haunt anyone’s dreams again until January.

The Hustler introduces everyone to Myles Stute, the men’s basketball team’s lone fall signee. Before you ask why we only have one signee in the fall, keep in mind that there are only two scholarships available, and Jerry Stackhouse might be holding the other one open for a transfer in the spring. (And may not be planning to run anyone off, something rumored to happen under a previous coach, not to name names.)
