Apologies for the Anchor Drop being late this morning. I’m dealing with strep at the moment, which means I didn’t wake up at 6 AM like I normally do.
Vanderbilt basketball lost to Richmond, 93-92, in overtime. I’ll have more thoughts when I do the Statistical later, but my initial impression is one of encouragement.
The Gold team won the first game of the Black and Gold Series, 3-2, on Thursday. They’ll play again at 5 PM today.
Vanderbilt bowling will compete in the Ladyjack Hammer Classic, hosted by defending national champion Stephen F. Austin, but being held in Kenosha, Wisconsin, which is nowhere near Nacogdoches, Texas. The event will begin at 10:30 AM today and you can watch on Vanderbilt bowling’s YouTube channel.
Vanderbilt soccer plays Clemson today at 4:00 PM CT in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. Today’s match will be broadcast on the ACC Network+. No, I don’t know how you access that (though I’d assume that, like the SEC Network+, if you have the ACC Network then you have the ACC Network+.)
Vanderbilt cross country is in Tallahassee for the NCAA South Regional.
Two more signings announced: women’s tennis signed Anessa Lee from San Marino, California, and women’s golf signed Ariel Yu from Orlando.
