Missouri v Vanderbilt
Let’s see if our picks can be more like Allan George’s picks.

Since I am doing this while riding in an RV with a crew headed to South Carolina, the round up is going to be the short and sweet version. The staff went 14-22. CDA and I did really well at 4-2. Tom came back from 0-8 to be 3-3. Shawn, VU ‘04, and Import all fell flat on their faces by going 1-5.

We all were stupid enough to take South Carolina last week, and only CDA took Kentucky. At least all of us except Tom took Alabama to cover against Arkansas. Tom and I knew the power of The Khakis would overcome to Golden Domers.

My only comment on the picks for tomorrow is about the process of this thing. I send the lines out and make mine while setting up the spreadsheet. Then I fill in the spreadsheet as the rest of the staff responds. I typically then start getting together the standings, so those are fresh on my mind. Imagine the terror when I realize Shawn’s picks match mine perfectly.

The Rules

  1. All SEC games against FBS competition will be picked. FCS games are excluded since lines are often not available until very late in the week or even the morning of the game.
  2. One other game, typically a matchup of Top 25 teams, will be part of the picks.
  3. The picks will be made AGAINST THE SPREAD. Too many games are easy to pick heads up. Also, this will serve as a PSA for why you should not get into sports gambling if Tennessee (or wherever you reside) makes it legal.
  4. The lines will be taken from ESPN Oddshark (because ESPN was not updating by Monday morning) sometime Monday, so they may not match what is listed at the time this article is published.
