Kickoff times announced for remaining football games

Get ready for more mid-afternoon games.

NCAA Football: Missouri at Vanderbilt Christopher Hanewinckel-USA TODAY Sports

On Thursday, the SEC office announced the kickoff times for Vanderbilt’s last three games of the season.

Vanderbilt’s November 16 game against Kentucky will air at 2:30 PM CT on the SEC Network. The Commodores’ final home game of the season, against East Tennessee State on November 23, will also kick off at 2:30 PM CT and will be televised on either the SEC Network or SEC Network+. (I’m betting on the latter.)

Finally, Vanderbilt’s road game at Tennessee on November 30 will air on the SEC Network at 3:00 PM CT.

With this announcement, Vanderbilt will end its season having played just one night game at home — the season opener against Georgia — and just three night games in total, with the October 5 trip to Ole Miss and Saturday’s game at South Carolina being the other two. That’s balanced against four 11 AM games (at Purdue, LSU, Northern Illinois, at Florida) and five 2:30/3 PM games (UNLV, Missouri, Kentucky, ETSU, at Tennessee.)
