Good morning.
The lesser-known SEC Media Day, the basketball version, came and went yesterday, giving us a minute to take our minds off the Vanderbilt football team, which is currently the 14th-place team in the 14-team SEC. How do the Commodores look on the hardwood... oh, that’s right.

Meanwhile, the women’s basketball preseason media poll was also released on Tuesday and... well, we’re picked to finish 14th there, as well. But unlike the men’s team, at least the women’s team got some sort of preseason honors. Senior Mariella Fasoula was selected to the preseason All-SEC second team.

Men’s golf finished in second place at the Crooked Stick Collegiate yesterday, just one shot behind Georgia.
In other news, Malcolm Turner was on the George Plaster show yesterday; you can listen to that here. Chris Lee also podcasted with Norman Jordan.
ICYMI, here’s the video of Derek Mason’s press conference yesterday. And yes, “the schemes are good schemes” is the ultimate “This is fine” moment.
