Good morning.
The Vanderbilt Commodores, on a six-game losing streak, will head to Oklahoma today for their game in the Big 12/SEC Challenge. Today’s game will tip off at 3:00 PM CT and will be televised on ESPN2. Streaming is available on the WatchESPN app, and Joe Fisher’s audio — as usual — is on the Vanderbilt IMG Sports Network.
A week ago, we were concerned that the losing streak might lead to the young Commodores quitting on the season; Wednesday’s result against Tennessee makes that no longer a concern, but today’s game is still going to be a difficult matchup, particularly on the road.
Other Vanderbilt News
By the way, the men’s basketball team isn’t the only Vanderbilt team playing in Norman today. The men’s tennis team is competing in the ITA Kick-Off, where they’ll face Notre Dame at 2:00 PM today. And women’s tennis is in Nashville playing in the championship match of the ITA Kick-Off.
The hashtag VandyBoys, ranked #1 in the country in multiple publications, opened preseason practice on Friday. They’ll also have their preseason banquet at the Omni Hotel tonight.
ICYMI: We have a spring game this year! Vanderbilt’s Black and Gold Spring Game will take place on March 30 at Vanderbilt Stadium.
