In the midst of a disappointing basketball season, Monday morning came a reminder that spring is coming.

Vanderbilt is ranked #1 in the D1Baseball.com Preseason Top 25, released Monday. The Commodores return a lot of talent from a team that ended last season in the super regionals, and also adds the nation’s #1 recruiting class.

Vanderbilt is one of eight SEC teams ranked in the Top 25, including five in the Top 10. LSU ranks just behind Vanderbilt at 2, Florida is 6, Georgia 9th, and Ole Miss 10th. Mississippi State at 14, Arkansas at 16, and 22nd-ranked Auburn round out the SEC teams in the Top 25.

Vanderbilt opens the season on February 15.
