The past couple of days have been filled with good news. Of course, the basketball team goes to Rupp Arena tonight, where they’re a 13-point underdog... so, the good news will probably end soon. But it’s been fun while it’s lasted, and that’s included the basketball team, which landed a commitment from Scotty “Son of Scottie Pippen” Pippen Jr. on Friday.
The football team joined the party, with Jared Pinkney announcing his return to Vanderbilt for the 2019 season. Would you rather go in the fourth round of the NFL Draft, or be able to put “He Beat Tennessee Four Times” on your gravestone? We know which one we would choose.
Women’s bowling joined the fun, winning five matches and losing none at the Mid-Winter Classic in beautiful Jonesboro, Arkansas. They’ll continue with day two at 9:15 AM CT today. And we can only hope that women’s tennis sweeping eight matches against Kentucky is a nice preview of what will happen in Lexington tonight. (The doubles matches against Northwestern didn’t go as well; the other Wildcats took 3 of 4 matches from the Commodores.) Today, they’ll face Kentucky in doubles matches at 1 PM, followed by singles matches against Miami at 3 in the second day of the Miami Spring Invite. And the men’s tennis team won nine singles matches against Belmont to kick things off in the Commodore Classic on Friday.
So much winning, you’ll get tired of all the winning. Damnit, can we beat Kentucky? That’s at 7:30 PM CT tonight on the SEC Network.
