Vanderbilt’s going bowling, and we’re not talking about the football team.

The women’s bowling team — the defending national champions, by the way, in case you’ve forgotten — returns from break to compete in the Mid-Winter Classic, at the Hijinx Family Fun Center in Jonesboro, Arkansas, which is a real place and not something I just made up.

Host Arkansas State is ranked number four in the country, one spot behind the Commodores, and the top six teams in the country — McKendree, Nebraska, Vanderbilt, Arkansas State, Sam Houston, and Tulane — are all competing. The three-day event will begin at 11:20 AM CT today and run through Sunday.

Vanderbilt will be streaming the event on its YouTube channel. Screw it, let’s have a bowling party. It’s Pinman Friday.
