Vanderbilt announced Friday morning that Turner Cockrell, a redshirt sophomore tight end from Acworth, Georgia, is battling melanoma, a form of skin cancer. Cockrell did not play in the season opener against MTSU and we can only assume his season is done with this news.
Thoughts and prayers to the Cockrell family in what must be a difficult time.
