Good morning.
Vanderbilt soccer improved to 9-1 and 2-0 in the SEC on Thursday night, beating Alabama 3-2 behind two goals from Haley Hopkins. That’s the Commodores’ ninth straight win. Hopkins now has seven goals on the season. The soccer team will look to extend its winning streak when they go to Missouri on Sunday, for what the website indicates is an SEC game.
Women’s golf will host the Mason Rudolph Invitational this weekend at the Vanderbilt Legend Club’s North Course in Franklin. The Commodores finished second in their first tournament of the season, the Powerade Cougar Classic in Charleston.
Women’s tennis will compete in the Debbie Southern Fall Classic in Greenville, SC, this weekend — minus senior Fernanda Contreras, who’s competing separately in the Oracle ITA Masters in California. The Commodores finished last season in the national title game.
