Good morning.
Today marks five days from Vanderbilt’s season opener against Middle Tennessee. There are two players wearing #5 for the Commodores. Senior safety LaDarius Wiley was the team’s leading tackler in 2017, and enters 2018 as one of the leaders on the defensive side of the ball. Junior RB Ke’Shawn Vaughn will be in his first season back in his hometown after transferring from Illinois, where he ran for 1,024 yards and nine touchdowns in two seasons for the Illini. He’ll be tasked with replacing Ralph Webb in the backfield.
And we have officially reached game week. We’ll have plenty of content this week, so keep coming back.
Vanderbilt soccer beat Ohio 2-1 on Sunday behind goals from Madison Elwell in the fourth minute and Kaylann Boyd in the 64th minute, improving their record to 3-1 on the season. Leila Azari had her third assist of the season on the second goal. Here’s Head Coach Darren Ambrose after the game:
Adam Sparks has some ideas for stadium renovations.
