*Update: Reports of Matthews’ release were erroneous. He has been placed on IR. There is no need to read the story below. Well, you can read it for the jokes if you want. Boston does still suck.
Read this for an actual update on the whole IR thing.
**2nd Update: Nope... they cut him again. This damned story keeps changing in the most meaningless ways. Proceed with hating the Patriots an adequate amount.
Either the hamstring injury Matthews suffered in Sunday’s practice is worse than first thought, or Belichik and the Cheatriots are planning to enter this season with no wideouts on the roster.
Matthews starred on the Eagles before being traded to the Bills for CB Ronald (nee Terrence Trent) Darby prior to the 2017 season. Since that point, Matthews’ NFL career has been mired with injuries, as he chipped his sternum in the Bills training camp, and then ended the season on injured reserve with a knee injury.
Matthews had signed for one year and $1 million, but it appears he will only earn the $170,000 guaranteed at signing.
Matthews was poised to play a significant role in the Patriots’ offense, especially early in the season, as Julian Edelman will miss the first four games due to a PED suspension and a terminal case of douche-face. One day before his injury, he caught a TD from the man seen below dancing.
Either way, cutting someone immediately after a training camp injury is poor form.
Damn, Jordan Matthews injuries his hamstring and the Pats immediately kick him to the curb. Antarctic COLD!

Worse yet, they may sign this jagweed to replace him.
According to sources: former #cowboys WR Dez Bryant was spotted at New England training camp after Jordan Matthews release. Huge.

Good luck with your rehab, JMatt. You now get to hate the Patriots as much as the rest of us.
