Good morning.
We’re 59 days away from Vanderbilt’s season opener against Middle Tennessee State. There is no 59 on the roster at the present time.
It’s still slow, Vanderbilt news-wise. Yesterday at the World Cup, Sweden and England advanced, the latter on penalties over Colombia, the former in a 1-0 win over Switzerland.
Last night, Tony Kemp did this:

And today, Kemp’s Astros will face Mike Minor, who’s pitching for the Rangers today. Game time is 6:05 PM CT.
After going through all the trouble of getting immediately eligible after transferring from Ole Miss, Michigan QB Shea Patterson signed with the Texas Rangers.
Former Vanderbilt commit Ethan Hankins officially signed with the Indians yesterday. Hankins had indicated that he would go to Chipola JC if the deal didn’t get done, so he wasn’t coming to Vanderbilt either way.
ICYMI: Relief pitcher Justin Wilson signed with the Yankees yesterday. Andrew VU ‘04 isn’t sure who he is, but he pitched six innings for Vanderbilt this year.
Also, Anfernee Orji committed last night. That brings Vanderbilt up to eleven commitments in the 2019 class, and pushes the class up to 46th in the 247 Sports composite and 48th in Rivals.
And in case you thought this Paul Finebaum/ESPN saga couldn’t get any weirder, the Big Ten Network is threatening to sign PAWWWWWWWL away from the SEC Network. This can’t be serious.
Finally, everyone have a happy and safe Fourth of July. Anchor Down.
