Good morning.
Today is 48 days from Vanderbilt’s season opener against Middle Tennessse State. 48 on the roster is linebacker Andre Mintze, a redshirt sophomore from Philadelphia. Mintze missed all of the 2016 season with a knee injury, but played in 11 games last year, notching five total tackles and 1.5 tackles for loss as a reserve linebacker. He figures to be in the mix for playing time this year with Oren Burks and Emmanuel Smith graduated.
The Tennessean’s Joe Rexrode thinks this year’s Vandy-UT game will be better than the Iron Bowl, which is... a take. Meanwhile, Adam Sparks has five questions for this week’s SEC Media Days.
Women’s basketball picked up a couple of new commitments on Saturday.

In case you were wondering, we, too, immediately wanted to know if Bella LaChance is related to Riley LaChance. Given that Bella is from Florida and looking at her pictures, we’re gonna go with “no.”
