Vanderbilt picked up its fourth commitment in the last week, with Justin Harris, a 6’2”, 175-pound defensive back from Etowah High School in Attalla, Alabama, dropping anchor via Twitter on Sunday afternoon following an official visit.

Harris’s commitment is the sixth overall in the 2019 class for the Commodores. The three-star recruit is considered the #73 safety prospect in the class and the #33 prospect in the state of Alabama according to the 247 Sports composite rating, and he currently ranks as the highest-rated player in Vanderbilt’s 2019 class. Rivals also rates him as a three-star and the #38 prospect in Alabama — though Rivals considers him a cornerback.
Harris also had offers from Memphis, Pittsburgh, Purdue, Virginia, and Wake Forest among 23 scholarship offers. Here is his highlight tape:
As usual, the Yellowhammer State is a fertile recruiting ground for Vanderbilt, as Harris is the Commodores’ second commitment in the class from Alabama, joining QB Jamil Muhammad.
