Your Vanderbilt Commodores open a three-game series against the Florida Gators tonight at McKethan Stadium in Gainesville, Florida. First pitch tonight is at 5:30 PM CT, with Drake Fellows (4-0, 2.16) taking the hill for the Commodores. Opposing him for Florida will be righthander Brady Singer (5-1, 3.00). Tonight’s game will be televised on the SEC Network+ and the WatchESPN app. Joe Fisher’s call is on the Vanderbilt IMG Sports Network.

Vanderbilt enters tonight’s game with a record of 17-8 and 5-1 in the SEC. Oddly, in the midst of a 5-1 SEC start over the last two weekends, the Commodores have lost three consecutive midweek games to the likes of Eastern Kentucky, Belmont, and Lipscomb, which sounds bad. They mostly dominated Mississippi State in the first series of SEC play, then were outscored 8-7 in last weekend’s series against LSU and yet took two of three.

Florida, the defending College World Series champion, is 22-5 on the season and out to a 4-2 start to SEC play, taking two of three against South Carolina and Arkansas over the last two weekends. The Gators are currently ranked #2 in the country according to D1baseball.com.

Let’s win. Anchor Down.
