The Vanderbilt Commodores (11-19, 5-12 SEC) close out the 2017-18 regular season tonight with a matchup against the Ole Miss Rebels (12-18, 5-12 SEC) in Oxford, Mississippi. The Commodores and Rebels are tied for last place in the SEC, and a loss would give Vanderbilt 20 losses in a season for the first time in school history, as well as cementing the Commodores' first last-place SEC finish since 2002-03. Tonight's game will tip off at 7:30 PM CT with television coverage on the SEC Network and streaming on the WatchESPN app, with Dave Neal and Barry Booker on the call. Joe Fisher's call can be found on the Vanderbilt IMG Sports Network.
Vanderbilt is a 3.5-point underdog, and Ken Pomeroy's algorithm predicts a 79-76 Ole Miss win, with Vanderbilt being given a 39% chance to win. Either way, the regular season will be over tonight, which... we can all agree is a good thing.
