Game 24: Georgia Bulldogs at Vanderbilt Commodores -- GameThread

ugh can we just fast forward to next season already

Mark Zerof-USA TODAY Sports

The Vanderbilt Commodores (8-15, 2-8 SEC) are back in action tonight as they host the Georgia Bulldogs (13-9, 4-6 SEC) at 7:30 PM CT at Memorial Gym. The game will be televised on the SEC Network, and streaming on WatchESPN. Dave Neal and Daymeon Fishback have the television broadcast. Joe Fisher's call can be found on the Vanderbilt IMG Sports Network.

Vanderbilt fell victim to a three-point barrage in a 93-81 loss at Auburn on Saturday night. But that doesn't seem terribly likely to happen against Georgia, which is shooting 31.7 percent from three in SEC play. The Bulldogs mostly make their bones on the defensive end of the floor; their opponents' effective field goal percentage is an SEC-best 44.3 percent.

I fully expect a rock fight and a final score in the 60s, and so does Ken Pomeroy's algorithm, which picks Vanderbilt to win by a 66-64 score. Vegas is a bit higher on the Commodores, tabbing them as a 3.5-point favorite tonight.
