Your Vanderbilt Commodores head on the road tonight, which hasn't been a friendly place for them this season. The Commodores are 0-11 away from Memorial Gym and are 0-9 in true road games. They've lost those by an average of 12.1 ppg, and only four of them have been by single digits -- and two of those were games that Vanderbilt trailed by 20 and 17 points at halftime before making things respectable in the second half.
Yeah, this is a bit ridiculous.
Tonight, the Commodores go to Baton Rouge to play the LSU Tigers. Bryce Drew's father Homer Drew was an assistant coach at LSU from 1972-1976, and Bryce was born in Baton Rouge. I am sure neither of these are things that tonight's SEC Network announcers, Dave Neal and Daymeon Fishback, will bring up on air. Ha! Just kidding. Last year they interviewed Dale Brown while he was sitting in the stands with Homer.
Vegas has LSU as a 4.5-point favorite, while KenPom's algorithms predict a final score of 77-72, LSU, with Vanderbilt having a 30% chance of winning.
The game can be streamed on the WatchESPN app. Joe Fisher's call can be found on the Vanderbilt IMG Sports Network.
