The Vanderbilt Commodores host the Florida Gators on Saturday, and the game just became much bigger than a game involving a 10-16 team ever should be when Adam Zagoria dropped this news the other day:
Kansas coach Bill Self is expected to see 2018 G Romeo Langford today, his dad tells me.

Romeo will also visit Vanderbilt on Saturday following his final home game. pic.twitter.com/7Wuwlt00uS
Now, first of all, there’s something to be said about a dude named Romeo dropping the news that he’s coming to visit Vanderbilt on Valentine’s Day of all days.
Langford narrowed his list of schools to Vanderbilt, Indiana, and Kansas back in November. Langford is from New Albany, Indiana, and our sister site Crimson Quarry has gone borderline insane about this, as have a large number of people in southern Indiana.
Fans across the state are letting Romeo Langford where they think he should go to college.

HINT— it’s not Vandy.

People in Indiana have been waiting in line to ask Langford for autographs on their Indiana gear. Langford did leave a subliminal message on the hoodie of one unlucky Hoosier fan, though:
Romeo Langford might have done the most savage thing ever by writing Vandy on an IU hoodie. If he picks Vandy this image will live on forever. pic.twitter.com/NBRcIjymnk

Anyway, when Langford comes to visit Vanderbilt this weekend, he’ll have company. Adam Sparks mentioned in an article that November signees Darius Garland and Aaron Nesmith are both expected to be at the game as well, and reportedly Damian Jones and Luke Kornet will be enjoying the NBA All-Star break by stopping by Memorial Gym as well.
In other words, this Saturday’s kind of a big deal.
