Perhaps one of Bryce Drew's greatest accomplishments in Year One was solving the house of horrors that is Bud Walton Arena in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Prior to last year, Vanderbilt was 2-12 all-time in Fayetteville (and, well, 8-9 against Arkansas away from Fayetteville), but the Commodores' 72-69 win over the Razorbacks there last year was their first since 2009-10.
Of course, the secret sauce might have been in the fact that Vanderbilt actually had a player from Fayetteville on the roster for the first time ever in Payton Willis, and Willis makes another trip home tonight as the Commodores (9-15, 3-8 SEC) battle the Razorbacks (16-8, 5-6 SEC).
The Razorbacks' 5-6 SEC record belies their actual performance; they've been allowing 1.14 points per possession on the defensive end and they're only averaging 1.09 themselves.
Tonight's game will tip off at 7:30 PM CT and will be televised on the SEC Network, with streaming on the WatchESPN app. Kevin Fitzgerald and Sean Harrington will have the TV call. Joe Fisher's radio call can be found on the Vanderbilt IMG Sports Network.
